How to apply

Click 'Apply' - you will be asked to create a Survey Monkey account to complete the application form. Enter your details, including education history. Select and rank the colleges in order of your preference. Submit! You will be contacted to pay the $75 application fee, collect references, and arrange an interview.

Before you begin

Take the opportunity to explore and learn about each of our colleges, you will have the option to rank the colleges in your application form. You also can only have one application submitted with one list of college preferences in our system at any given time for consideration.  Duplicate applications by a single applicant with varied lists of college preferences will be identified and removed.

Update

Three of our Residential Colleges remain open for undergraduate first semester 2026 entry applications, for students holding a University of Melbourne course offer.

Janet Clarke Hall, St Hilda's College, St Mary's College, Ormond College, Queen's College, Trinity College and University College are now closed for first semester 2026 entry applications.
